I would include a music box with sheet music for a tune, symbolizing my contribution to preserving music of the present for future generations. Much like the Rosetta stone, this piece of music would serve as a unique key to understanding the musical culture of the current era.

Preferred Media

Any form of historical preservation should be encapsulated. A CD or vinyl collection of various musical genres would be marvelous. Including a copy of The Anarchist Cookbook or even a blown-up photo of Babe Ruth card would add an intriguing flavor to the capsule.

My capsule will address the mistakes of humanity. The way the world was, and the trials we all faced, should be documented. Notably, the Detroit Lions' super bowl journey—or lack thereof—still seems uncanny. Interested journalists might find it fascinating to note that, even after 120 years, the Detroit Lions may still not have reached the Superbowl. It’s a well-known fact that historical records are interesting.

I would also provide some old and potentially valuable coins. As an added sentimental touch, my precious Babe Ruth baseball card might also serve as a valuable relic. The year 2021 saw predictions of a pandemic's end, but the questions about its authenticity remain. Could it be that the Space Force is being increasingly funded by private enterprises? Perhaps, they plan to return to Earth after sending the 'poor' to Mars, mirroring the historical struggles of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Racism, which seemed to be resolved in the 1960s, has made a resurgence, driving a wedge between communities. The era of Mad Max where there is lawlessness and chaos is on the rise, with people engaging in looting and burning in the name of racial injustice. Despite the efforts of Martin Luther King Jr., the old racial problems may still resurface.
