Theoretical Limits of Communication
Theories of alternate dimensions, if they exist, propose that these extra dimensions are incredibly tiny, on the scale of a Planck length. This minuscule size raises the question: how can we communicate effectively across such a tiny gap? The theoretical limitations of such communication are immense, if not utterly impossible to achieve given our current understanding and technology.
Clear Definitions of Parallels and Alternatives
When discussing parallel or alternate universes, the concept of 'parallel' or 'alternate' is crucial. Parallel dimensions, as we currently understand them, are fundamentally different and distinct from each other. By definition, two parallel entities cannot interact, as they do not share any form of commonality beyond their initial branching point. This means that they never intersect or communicate, no matter how advanced the technology or understanding might become.
The branching point in time from which these parallel universes diverge means that from that moment onward, the universes are effectively 'parallel' and unconnected. The same principle applies to alternate realities: once a 'branching' event occurs, the only point of commonality is the past. From that branching point, they diverge and remain separate, making it theoretically impossible to traverse between them.
