Higher temperatures result in higher emissions and higher frequencies of radiation. For instance, your surroundings emit infrared radiation, a type of electromagnetic wave, due to their temperature. You, being warmer than your surroundings, emit significantly more infrared radiation. This principle is the basis for how night-vision goggles function—they see infrared radiation, making you appear brighter than your surroundings.

Electromagnetic Radiation from Electronic Devices:

When it comes to electronic devices, the story isn't about their standing temperature, but rather the electromagnetic radiation they produce through the continuous acceleration and deceleration of charged particles. This process is a direct result of alternating currents (AC) flowing through conductors. As electrons inside the conductor are constantly changing their velocity, they emit electromagnetic waves in the form of radiation.

A practical example of this principle is a radio tower or mobile telephone. These devices generate electromagnetic waves by consistently accelerating and decelerating electrons in an antenna. This is how they transmit signals over long distances. Even if a device is supposed to have a constant current, it's highly unlikely due to various factors such as temperature fluctuations or other electrical imperfections. Consequently, all electronic devices produce some level of electromagnetic radiation at all times.

The Role of Frequency and Temperature:

The frequency of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by an object depends on its temperature. As the temperature increases, the frequency and intensity of the emitted radiation also increase. When an object is heated to a high enough temperature, it not only emits radiation but also starts to glow, transitioning from red to white. This phenomenon is not only visible but also a direct result of the electromagnetic radiation being emitted at higher frequencies within the visible spectrum.
