Does God Continue to Provide Good Things Even If We Dont Pursue Him?
The Enduring Provision of God
Yes, God always gives and continues to give even if we do not actively pursue Him. When we seek Him, it is often because we have issues to address or problems to share, but our source of strength is Him—the provider of all things we possess.
Awareness of Derivation
Reflect on the journey of your life. Upon your birth, you came into the world with nothing. Every possession and every blessing, whether directly or indirectly, has been given to you by God. Acknowledge His provision, thank Him, and praise Him. Never cease to do this as your life is a tapestry woven with God's blessings.
Gratitude for Daily Gifts
Each morning you awaken is granted by God; it is a day with the potential for new experiences, new opportunities, and new beginnings. Count your blessings—your job, your family, your home, and your life. Pray for those who do not have such luxuries, as this pleases God. Every opportunity, every meal, and every breath—and more—are gifts from God.
Divine Knowledge and Timing
Remember, God already knows what you need. He may close one door but then open another, leading to better outcomes. Life is a spiritual journey, and God cares more about the outcomes we achieve spiritually than the journey itself. Witnessed through my own experiences, I have seen that while God may close one door, He always opens another to guide our spiritual growth.
Spiritual Gifts
God continuously bestows us with spiritual gifts. He intervenes and opens doors for new jobs, new homes, and more, all according to His will. He blesses us in both the physical and spiritual realms. When we receive these blessings, we should express gratitude. Think of the gifts of seeing, hearing, the gift of family, and the beauty of a sunset. These are all daily gifts from God.
A Lack of Thankfulness
The story of the ten lepers healed by Jesus serves as a stark reminder of our tendency to take these gifts for granted. Only one leper returned to thank Jesus, and instead of being upset, Jesus praised Him, saying, 'Were not ten made clean? ' Gratitude towards God is something we should make second nature to us.
Developing an Attitude of Gratitude
Forgive yourself for the many times you have taken God's gifts for granted. Commit to a future of thankfulness. Express appreciation for every aspect of your life—those things you are aware of and those you might not recognize as blessings. Whether it's the breath you take or the relationships you cherish, develop a mindset of gratitude.
Conclusion
Dear Lord, forgive me for the times I have taken Your gifts for granted. I truly want to thank You now and going forward for all the things You do for me and all the times You probably protected me from harm that I was unaware of. Deo Gratias!!! Thank You, God!
