The field of facial recognition has also seen tremendous progress in recent years. Google's Image Search has made it possible to search the web for matching and similar images, a task that would have been extremely time-consuming and cumbersome with older methods. Additionally, advanced image processing techniques, such as processing light field data to allow for sharp re-focusing of photographs, have been made possible thanks to the computational power of modern computers.

These examples showcase how computers have not only made certain tasks feasible but also significantly enhanced the quality and speed of their execution. From GPS and census-taking to weather prediction, managing large corporations, circuit design, data analysis, financial transactions, and image processing, the impact of computers on our daily lives and industries is profound and undeniable.
