How to Find Recently Viewed Items and Searches on eBay
Staying organized on eBay is easier than ever with the tools designed to keep track of your interests. Learn how to access and manage your recently viewed items and search history on the platform.
Accessing Recently Viewed Items
To access your recently viewed items on eBay:
Log In to Your Account: Begin by visiting the eBay website and signing in to your account. Locate Recently Viewed Items: Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of the eBay homepage. You will find a section marked as 'Recently Viewed Items.' Here, you can see a list of the products you have looked at recently. Clear Your History (Optional): If you wish to clear your recently viewed items or search history, you can usually find this option within the sections mentioned above. To locate the products you have recently viewed, you can select 'Recently Viewed' from the 'My eBay' dropdown (found in the top right-hand corner). Alternatively, on the homepage, select 'Your Recently Viewed Items,' or on the left-hand side of the search results page under 'Your Recently Viewed Items.'
Accessing Recent Searches
While eBay does not provide a direct list for recent searches, you can still access these by using the search bar. When you type in a search term, phrases you have searched before will appear in purple text rather than blue. This feature helps you quickly revisit previous searches.
Staying Organized with Saved Searches
For those who frequently revisit certain searches, eBay offers a 'Save This Search' feature. To use this:
Perform your search and refine your results until you find the perfect items. Look for the 'ALL LISTINGS/AUCTION/BUY IT NOW' bar and a little outline of a heart that says 'Save This Search.' Click the heart to save the search, and it will turn fully blue. Access saved searches under the same 'My eBay' dropdown menu. These tools make it easier for you to stay organized and find what you are looking for on eBay efficiently. By keeping track of your recently viewed items and saved searches, you can quickly revisit items and searches that interest you.
Additional Research Tools
In addition to the built-in features, there are other tools available for item view-related research. While eBay does not have a specific tool for tracking searches, the auto-suggestion function in the browser search bar is quite helpful. Simply enter a keyword or item name, and the suggestions will appear to guide your search.
