Navigating the Mess: The Quest for Absolute Love and Connection

The Divine Play and Human Reality

In the Vedic faith, at the highest level of reality, the universe does not exist. This statement may appear perplexing, but it points to a profound truth. At a lower level of reality, where we exist, phenomena such as existence and non-existence are seen through the lens of divine play. However, man, being part of creation, is endowed with the ability to realize that all phenomena, including God, are only relatively true and not absolutely true. This realization is at the core of understanding the "confusion" that plagues us. Perhaps, the cosmic force plays a mercy to grant us this realization, making the journey arduous but ultimately leading us to the Absolute Reality. Our purpose here is to evolve from our animal and egotistic tendencies to strive for the perfection as ordained by the divine, to know what truly is—Brahman, the substratum of all phenomena.

A New Desire in Humanity

Today, a new desire is emerging within humanity. It starts as a seed, a tiny spark, a yearning for absolute love, bestowal, and connection. This desire is unprecedented; it contrasts with our innate, egotistic desires for food, sex, family, money, honor, control, and knowledge. While we possess examples and accepted methods to satisfy the latter desires, there are no clear pathways to fulfill the new spiritual yearning. To satisfy this new desire requires a profound shift in perception and sensation.

Our natural, egoistic desires, deeply ingrained in our being, push us to seek fulfillment for ourselves alone, constantly trying to absorb and possess. These desires form the basis of our inborn self-organization. We interact with others using a wide array of means, including deceit, politics, and economic incentives, all driven by the need for self-benefit.

A New Emergence in Nature

As this new, spiritual desire emerges in us, we experience a growing complexity of interconnectedness and interdependence globally. This interconnectedness is a manifestation of nature's inherent law of love and bestowal. Nature, in its rawest form, reveals itself through this increasing global interconnection. In our current egoistic worldview, we can navigate the complexities of human interactions. However, as we start to adopt a more altruistic approach, we will experience an escalating confusion and discomfort, as we transition from a self-focused to a community-focused perspective.

Transforming Our Reality

The key to navigating this mess lies in shifting our perception and sensation from purely egotistical to one that embraces loving, bestowal-based relationships. This transformation is a profound internal work. It requires us to recognize and transcend our egoistic tendencies, embracing a more altruistic and loving approach to our interactions with others and our environment.

The journey towards understanding and fulfilling this new desire is challenging but essential, akin to discovering the inner truth of the divine play. By striving towards love, bestowal, and connection, we can begin to uncover the true essence of existence and our role in the grand design.
