Conclusion

If you have a strong interest in mining and a long-term commitment to the field, NITK Surathkal could provide you with a solid education and promising career opportunities. However, it's advisable to speak with current students or alumni to gain insights into the curriculum, faculty, and overall experience before making a final decision.

What ever you like should be your branch preference. As far as college is concerned, NITK is good. I mean not just academics but campus life and all is very good. As far as placements are considered, we do have a couple of companies that participate regularly in campus placements for both chemical and mining. If you cannot make up your mind for a particular branch, get into NITK and score a 9.5 point in the first year, and get your branch changed based on what you liked in the first year although this is a big gamble in my opinion.
