My village, once a small cluster of 90 to 100 homes with a population of 1800, has transformed into a bustling community with 2000 residents. This remarkable change is not just a physical transformation but a story of evolving cultural practices, increasing socio-economic activity, and the preservation of traditional values.

Our village now boasts a Government school providing education up to the 7th standard. The Hanuman Temple acts as the heart of our community, serving as a sanctuary and a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Whenever someone arrives in the village, the first stop is often the temple to seek blessings from Hanumanji. The temple is also a place where community events and meetings are held. Here, individuals from different castes and religions come together, fostering a sense of unity and inclusiveness. Even members of the Hindu community participate in religious ceremonies for other religions, such as Moharram and Ramadan, while non-Hindus celebrate Hindu festivals like Dussehra and Diwali. This diversity enriches the cultural fabric of our community, making it a true reflection of social harmony.

Cultural Festivals: A Mirror of Societal Harmony

Our village has a rich tapestry of cultural festivals that showcase the diverse traditions and beliefs of its inhabitants. The local Panchayat meetings are now held at the Hanuman Temple, where people from all walks of life come together to discuss and address community needs. From Cycles to Cars: A Life of Simplicity

Reflecting on my childhood, our village was a place of simple pleasures. In the past, there were no bikes or cars, just a few bicycles and many bullock carts that served as our primary mode of transportation. The village was approximately 19 kilometers away from the Taluka/District, and it was a 3-kilometer journey from the main road to our home. Our ancestral farm was about 4 kilometers away from the village center, and we spent time playing and picking seasonal fruits like mangoes, black jamoon, and sugarcane. The main crops in our area were jawar (sorghum), tur (mustard), and turmeric. Ginger, onions, and other vegetables were also grown in abundance. The produce was either sold at the nearest APMC/Market Yard or traded in local fairs, and we often relied on a privately owned bus that ran four times a day on the main road. However, it was a 3-kilometer walk to the nearest bus stop. Today, the landscape has changed dramatically, but the essence of community and togetherness remains the cornerstone of our village life.

Conclusion
