However, this role also offers the flexibility to take on different tasks, such as designing and managing projects. Architects can earn better income for project costs, but they also often double as project directors and face a higher workload.

On the other hand, Quantity Surveying: This path is more suited for those open to a broader range of tasks and career opportunities. QS professionals, with their technical skills and understanding of construction economics, can find roles in project management, contract management, and more. The flexibility and adaptability required in QS can lead to a more diverse and rewarding career path.

There is a notable shift in the Indian context as well. Traditionally, the roles of architects and quantity surveyors overlapped significantly.
